Reading is a journey: Implementing strategies in rural schools to improve reading skills
This research funded by the National Research and Innovation Agency –ANII- was based on three guiding questions that give rise to the working hypotheses. The first of them is whether providing access to books, whether in paper or digital form, is enough to train reading children. The second was to know if the format of the text (digital or physical) has the same effects in relation to the motivation to read, the reading habit and the acceleration of the development of reading skills. The third was to analyze and evaluate the impact that the intervention of the Reading is a Journey project has on the reading skills of the children who participate by training teachers in new pedagogical practices.
