E.DÚCATE URUGUAY, AGAIN SELECTED BY ANII FOR RESEARCH DURING THE 2023-2024 PERIOD
With joy we received the news that E.dúcate Uruguay has been selected again by the ANII to continue researching during the period 2023-2024.
We have always been concerned about the educational destiny of rural youth, we promote meetings, we design sketches, we seek alliances to address educational continuity in the key of a productive hybrid ecosystem. The high rates of post-primary dropout in the rural sector lead us to question whether their training is sufficient to enter adult life with motivation, preparation and conviction in their abilities. We identified that one of the barriers is the physical distance that ends up having an impact on intellectual and social isolation.
During the pandemic, at E.dúcate Uruguay we integrated a hybrid model of continuous training for teachers thanks to the alliance with Microsoft and the support of Mariana Maggio. This successful experience encouraged us to look for new paths, to understand how technology could be a bridge between the interests of young people and adults suitable for the topics. On the other hand, ANEP’s educational transformation proposal opened the possibility of bringing together topics linked to the identity and context of young people.
The line of research supported by ANII is about that. Study successful international models and bring the best of them. Integrate them with the best of ours to design solutions for trained youth. Young people who live and want to stay in natural environments, generate knowledge about their environment and produce well-being for themselves and their community. We are honored to have this recognition to continue looking for ways to improve the education of #Uruguay.
If these issues concern and occupy you, our doors are open to seek shared solutions. Thank you Monica Girolami for your tireless commitment to rural youth and Flavio Caiafa for continuing to support research as a means of innovation and advancement.
* Congratulations to the other 4 selected projects from the INEE National Institute of Educational Evaluation, University of the Republic and Homoludens Work Cooperative. Link
