Making the Invisible Visible: De.Practice 2024

On December 9th, the Catholic University of Uruguay hosted a new and enriching edition of De.Practice, titled “Belonging and Connecting: The New Rules of Motivation for Young People to Learn.” During this event, the results of the action-research project “Educational Continuity in the Context of a Hybrid Productive Ecosystem” were presented, carried out under the framework of the ANII – Ceibal Foundation Sectorial Education Fund.

De.Practice became a space for exchange, learning, and reflection, where findings on rural education in Uruguay were discussed. This work aims to highlight the realities, challenges, and opportunities faced by students and teachers in rural contexts, a situation that, although often overlooked, deserves our attention and action.

At E.dúcate Uruguay, we work not only to support rural education but also to collaborate on the challenges of education in Uruguay by researching, innovating, and generating actions to transform realities. We are beginning to work on a new initiative alongside Big Picture Learning and its Co-Director, Andrew Frishman. We are designing a semi-presential educational model for rural youth that will innovatively integrate artificial intelligence, with the potential to revolutionize educational opportunities for this population.

We are very grateful to all who believe in the transformative power of education and accompany us in this mission. Your support allows us not only to make the invisible visible but also to generate real and sustainable changes.
